Our Story
The fight for Gabe rights did not begin yesterday. It began generations ago, in a small village whose name has been lost to time, with a man whose legacy would shape the course of history.
The earliest known Gabe in the Richberg lineage is born in a small European village. Records are sparse, but oral tradition holds that he was “an alright guy who helped his neighbours with heavy lifting.” The tradition of Gabe Excellence begins.
Five principles, etched into a single sheet of parchment: Loyalty, Punctuality, Beard Maintenance, Couch-Lifting Readiness, and Never Making Fun of Another Gabe's Eyewear Choices. The original parchment is kept in a temperature-controlled vault at an undisclosed location.
A young Gabriel Richberg III is asked at a family gathering whether he plays the trumpet. He does not. He never has. The question, seemingly innocent, plants a seed that would grow into a movement. The Gabe Protection & Rights Commission is not yet born, but its founding trauma has been seeded.
Preston J. Richberg, having witnessed one too many Gabe-bashing incidents, formally establishes the Gabe Protection & Rights Commission. The mission: total global eradication of Gabe Bashing. The first “Friend of Gabe” certificate is issued to his mother, who had always been supportive.
The Commission expands its mandate to include workplace protections. The Tier 1 accreditation is made available to forward-thinking organizations. Seven companies sign up in the first month. Four of them are owned by Richberg family members.
